Expanding our home to cover all children

OUR NEED

To continue appropriately serving families and children that have been impacted by abuse or neglect and advance our strides in prevention education and awareness in the growing counties we serve, HHCAC must expand.

Currently, HHCAC staff are spread across two buildings. While direct services and mental health staff assist clients at the Grant Avenue location, administrative and prevention staff conduct business at the Whitaker Avenue office.

Limited space impacts the number of staff that can be hired, also hindering the ability to offer comprehensive, trauma-informed services with our CPT partners most efficiently and effectively. This separation strains opportunities for prompt department collaboration and staff bonding.

OUR SOLUTION

Added urgency requires a response. For 31 years, HHCAC has responded to the urgent outcry of child abuse throughout the Permian Basin.  Now is the time to respond to the need for all HHCAC services and staff under one roof.

By fulfilling the need to offer all services for families in one location including SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners) exams and space for our CPT partners, HHCAC will complete the vision our founders had in 1993: moving into a permanent home under one roof. A vision that requires needed renovations to the current Grant Avenue facility and a 10,000-square-foot ‘haven of hope’ expansion to our existing property. The upgrades and expansion would meet current space needs and increase our organizational capacity to ensure sustainability for future generations.
