SAVING LIVES & HELPING FAMILIES SINCE 1993
OUR STORY
Since 1993, Harmony Home Children’s Advocacy Center (HHCAC) has fought for justice and healing for all abused children in West Texas. Through CPT investigation, prosecution, and treatment, we deliver direct and indirect services to children and their non-offending caregivers throughout the Permian Basin.
In 2014, we increased our impact by providing prevention education focused on equipping adults with the knowledge to recognize, react, and report child sexual abuse.
In 2017, we expanded our reach into the Monahans community by opening an office in the Reymer Building, a shared space, with other Ward County social agencies.
In 2019, our continued expansion included opening an office in Pecos in the former Juvenile Detention Center. Harmony Home’s expansions have enabled our Child Protection Team (CPT) to serve their community at a higher capacity, eliminating the burdens for child victims, their families, and CPT partners associated with traveling to Odessa to receive the Forensic Interviewing, Family Advocacy, and Therapy services needed for healing.
Where we are now
Today, Harmony Home CAC spans seven counties (Ector, Ward, Reeves, Winkler, Pecos, Crane, and Upton) and serves over 600 children each year on average.
Harmony Home CAC is now comprised of five programs:
Forensic Interviewing
Family Advocacy
Mental Health Therapy
Prevention - Education
Neglect - Centralized Access Point
The Center’s programs are funded by federal and state grants, United Way of Odessa, grants from local foundations, agency fundraisers, and private direct and in-kind contributions.
Our Mission
Harmony Home exists to lessen the trauma and heal the hurt of abuse to children and their families through interviewing, therapy, victim services, investigation, prosecution, and prevent child abuse through education and awareness.
